описание на събитието
Research has validated the embodied nature of our feelings and we now know that emotions are always experienced and expressed through our bodies and movement patterns. Addressing emotion on a non-verbal level can augment therapeutic healing and growth and is essential to the clinical process of integration and change. This experiential workshop will explore how the body and movement can be safely and appropriately used to access and work with the client’s emotions. It will also provide opportunities to learn and practice simple and practical tools for working with emotions for various ages, issues and contexts. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of physical ability.

Participants will briefly learn about the function and physiological relationship between the body and emotions.
Participants will experience and practice techniques for working with emotions using movement and embodied experiences to integrate both non-verbal and verbal processes.
Participants will learn how to adapt movement and body interventions to specific populations and therapeutic goals.
Participants will discuss the efficacy and counter indications for working with emotions in relationship to specific populations and settings.
